About the Speaker

Dr. Mike Young
Founder of Athletic Lab

Dr. Mike Young has a PhD in biomechanics, an MSS in Coaching Science and a BS in Exercise Physiology. He is recognized as a CSCS*D and RSCC*D by the NSCA and a Level 2 coach by USAW. Mike is the owner of Athletic Lab where he coaches and oversees the development of athletes from youth through professional. Mike has coached on 6 NCAA track & field championship teams and has served as the sport coach for six Olympic or World Championship competitors. Additionally, he's coached over a dozen athletes to international status in bobsleigh, weightlifting and skeleton. In team sports, Young has been the Performance Director for 4 professional soccer clubs that have won a total of 9 championships. He is a regular consultant for some of the top sports teams and Academies in the world including 4 World Cup Rugby teams and 3 Premier League Soccer clubs. He has a decade of experience preparing athletes for the NFL combine and is the private coach for over a dozen NBA players. Mike has contributed to coaching education curriculums for USATF, USTFCCCA, the Athletic Lab Coaching Academy and LTAD Network, has given 2 TEDx talks and lectured in 23 countries.
