Output Program is the part of the Output platform built for coaches who design, assign and track athlete training. Today we are releasing the biggest update to that capability since it launched.
The release introduces three new features across Output Hub and Output Capture, alongside two further improvements that refine everyday use of the platform. Each is built around the same objective: reducing the time coaches spend on the work that sits between their expertise and their athletes.
For most coaches, the time required to migrate an existing training programme into a new platform is the single greatest barrier to adoption. Years of work sit in PDFs, spreadsheets and printed documents that cannot easily be transferred into a structured system.
Program Uploader removes that barrier. Coaches can now upload an existing PDF or CSV file into Output Hub and have it automatically built into a fully structured programme inside the Program Builder. The system uses AI to parse the file, match exercises to the Output exercise library and assemble the full programme structure. The process typically completes in under two minutes.
Performance is strongest when the source file is structured cleanly. CSV exports with clear column headers produce the most accurate results. Image only PDFs and very large files may not process successfully and should be split into smaller sections before upload.
Program Uploader is available now in Beta to Output Program customers. As an early access feature, it will continue to evolve based on user feedback through Output Support and in-app feedback channels.
Compliance tracking is a core requirement for coaches working with structured training programmes. Until now, understanding how well prescribed work was being completed across a group required navigating into individual athlete profiles one at a time.
Calendar Compliance moves that data into the Calendar View inside Output Hub. Attendance and compliance information is now available at both group and individual level, accessible directly from any past event on the calendar.
Compliance is calculated at the set level, measuring sets completed against sets prescribed for each workout. Four compliance states are reported:
When a coach opens an event, athletes are sorted by compliance status by default, with those requiring most attention listed first. Coaches can also sort by compliance percentage. Ad hoc workouts and in progress sessions are not included in compliance calculations, and compliance is capped at 100 percent.
Calendar Compliance is available now to Output Program customers and represents the first step in a broader compliance and monitoring roadmap.
The Repeat Workouts feature allows athletes and coaches to replicate any previously completed workout without rebuilding it. A new Start Again button appears on the detail screen of any completed workout in Output Capture. Selecting it clones the workout, including all exercises, sets, rep targets, velocity zones, load targets and any modifications made during the original session.
The cloned workout is created as an ad hoc session and is not linked back to the original programme or scheduled event, allowing coaches and athletes to use it for unscheduled repetition without affecting the structured plan. The feature supports any workout type, whether assigned, ad hoc or template based.
Repeat Workouts is available now to all Output Capture users on iOS. Android availability follows on May 27.
Two further improvements ship alongside the headline features.
Prescribing velocity targets inside the Workout Builder is now clearer. The previous abbreviated label has been replaced with the full term. Custom velocity target and custom velocity dropoff are now offered as separate dropdown options, and recommended percentage one rep max ranges are displayed alongside the predefined zones. The change is designed to reduce friction for coaches new to velocity based training.
For coaches operating Output Capture on shared devices, particularly in schools, clubs and university environments, account settings can now be protected behind a PIN. This prevents athletes from accidentally or intentionally accessing organisation level settings such as billing, measurements and default configurations. The protection can be enabled or disabled at any time from Account Settings.
PIN protection is available now on iOS. Android availability follows on May 27.
Output Program was built around a defined commitment: that the platform should remove operational friction from coaching, allowing practitioners to focus their time on the work that produces athlete outcomes.
By reducing the time required to migrate existing programmes, surfacing live compliance data at the point of decision, and removing the rebuilding work associated with repeated sessions, this release returns measurable time to coaches across every stage of their daily workflow.
Output Program is used by coaches across the NFL, MLB, Premier League, leading universities and performance organisations globally. To see how the platform supports your environment, request a demonstration with the Output Sports team.
